Dog Carriers
Dog carriers are designed primarily for purposes of transportation, as the name would suggest. In addition to this, these useful items are also used to serve a wide range of other functions. Some may include attachments for food and water or variations in their design to meet extra needs.
Most dog carriers will generally provide for safety and containment needs in addition to those of transportation. If an animal is placed into an environment in which it does not want to stay, a carrier will serve to keep the animal from leaving. Also, if some dogs do not get along very well, carriers can prevent them from attacking each other or others. These uses are commonly seen in boarding kennels, shelters, and veterinary locations.
Dog carriers also provide the animal with its own private space. This means it can be used as a doghouse or a bed. It also means that, if the pet is used to the container, it can provide a safe and comforting area within a strange location. Breeders often take advantage of this when sending a dog to a new home.
